&& some people have been asking me to write a review for harry potter and the order of the phoenix movie so i will. if you haven't seen it and don't want to be spoiled, then i'd suggest not reading the rest of this entry. :] well first off, all i can say is WOW! everyone has grown up and their acting abilities have all gotten mucho better. this book is my favorite one, and i was afraid that they might butcher it but they most definately did not. the beginning, for some reason, made me super excited! when the opening started, the fogginess and "harry potter and the order of the phoenix" coming into screen, just made me squeal a bit. idk, i'm an oddball. ;] i thought harry's haircut was going to make him look terrible, but he actually looked veryyyy scrumtdittilyumptious in this movie. the best since POA, prob. lols at dudley suddenly being all gangsta. dudders, fire your stylist bb. lols no it was cool. i never remembered his voice being soo high-pitched like that tho. it made me sad when he was like "where is your mum? where is your mum, potter? dead? is she dead?" i felt so bad for poor harry. the dementor scene was pretty intense. did anyone else jump like 50 miles out of their seat when it was all quiet, and then all of a sudden BAM!!! came a dementor? lol well i know i did. dudley looked so funny afterwards..he was all spaced out. mrs. figg didn't get much of a part. =[ if i hadn't read the books, i would've never figured out she was a squib, or why she knew dumbledore. anyway. i think all the scenes were fantastic, my absolute FAVORITE was the dumbledore's army parts! they were really fun, and it was so nice to see harry take charge. i totally loved how all the girls kept pwning the guys in it too. snape's worst memory was a bit of a disappointment, tho. i expected it to be an actual scene, sort of. it was like 15 seconds long, and there was no lily. =( hopefully it will be a deleted scene in the DVD. sirius' death was kinda rushed too, although i loooved the silent part after that. it almost made me cry. evanna lynch, helena bonham carter, and imelda staunton were FANTASTIC. they fit all their parts perfectly. evanna was the perfect replica of loony lovegood, she even has the natural, soft voice. helena was deliciously evil, as well as imelda. there were times when i just wanted to slap her, which is what she should've made us do. =] everyone's acting seemed to get so much better. daniel radcliffe finally found his emotional side, probably thanks to equus. when harry went "LOOK AT ME!!!!" to dumbledore..yeah that was pretty hot. =) rupert grint was great, it was just a shame he got so few lines. but omg, when did rupert grint get so fiiiiiiine??? i always found him hilarious in SS and COS and cute in POA & GOF, but daaayum! he's a cutie. emma watson was okay, it's just her eyebrows do way too many jumping jacks. she looked so beautiful throughout the movie. once again, it was a shame she didn't get as many lines. there were some DEFINANT r/hr and h/g parts. ron & hermione were so much nicer to each other. and there were times when ginny would just stare at harry. in grimmauld place when they're playing with the extendable ears, ginny goes "hi harry" and he says hi back, and until they shift parts ginny is looking at him. and after the DA meeting, when hermione says "cho couldn't take her eyes off you" there is a tiny part where ginny looks very upset. and finally, before harry goes over to kiss cho, there is a definant SPLIT second of ginny watching him. it made me kinda sad. i went twice to see this movie, and everything seemed much more sad the second time. i almost cried when sirius died, and i almost cried when harry got posessed for some reason. and when sirius is showing him the family tree and how his mother burned him off, i was sad. but ugh when he was like "i was only sixteen" and sounded choked up, i got veryyy sad. it was much more sad on screen then in book. overall, FANTASTICCCC movie and i recommend it to EVERYONE. even if you're not an HP fan, or if you haven't even read the book(s). it was the best hp movie so far imo, and i can't wait for david yates to come back for HBP.
